玩物論 toyology
Sunday, October 28th, 2007「toyology 玩物論」的展覽日期定為本年十一月四至廿七日，地點是香港灣仔港灣道 2 號香港藝術中心十樓白管子。開放時間為星期一至日早上十時至晚上八時 ( 公眾假期除外 )。展覽中, 我嘗試扮演Kidult 的角色，在玩樂世界中探求人生重要並神聖的課題。展覽中你不難找到扭蛋玩具、Lego積目、高達、又或者Hello Kitty這些潮流玩意兒，但他們卻以另一面目示人。看似膚淺幼稚的時下玩物與關乎生死的高深哲理是風馬牛不相及兩回子事，我卻喜歡將兩者Mix and Match，留戀於當中混沌矛盾的灰色地帶。
My solo exhibition, “Toylogy”, is going to be held at White Tube, 10/F, Hong Kong Arts Centre, 2 Harbour Road , Wanchai, HK, starting from 4th to 27th, November 2007. The opening hours is Monday to Sunday 10am- 8pm (Except Holidays). I am always obsessed by the desire to mix “superficial” pop culture and profound divine faith, and places my art works in-between the grey area of confusion and contradiction. In this exhibition, “Toyology”, I explores serious and even consecrated life issues but in the angle of a kidult, does whatever I wants in the regime of “play” in wanton luxury. Toys and other fashionable objects are adopted as art media. They are still the capsule toys, Lego, Gundam, or Hello Kitty you know, but are presented in different ways.
